Stuhlmillers in 2005

Hi, Family and Friends,

2005 was a very special year for our family! We add Sarah Christine Stuhlmiller, born on September 21 to proud parents David and Christine! Sarah weighed in at 8 pounds 4 ounces and registered an 18-inch height. Of course, travel to New Jersey to welcome new granddaughter Sarah was a highlight of the year! Grandma Elizabeth and Grandpa Dave are as thrilled as can be!

Sarah's first Christmas was enjoyed by our whole family at the Watters' White Chimney Farm in Church Hill, Maryland. Please remember David G. Watters, Carole's husband and Jonathon and Christine's dad, who passed away in late November.

New parents David and Christine still adore their hometown of Madison, New Jersey. Christine will be returning to her finance job with the Department of Surgery at UMDNJ in Newark as the new year begins. David changed jobs half-way through 2005, and is now the medical director for the helicopter program that flies patients to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY, where he works in the Emergency Department. Both joined the handbell choir at their church in 2005, and played for a wedding in August. Abby, their chocolate lab, loves and protects the family and the homestead.

Sarah's godfather Mike has taken a break from independent consulting and started work as a software engineer at WhenU.com, an internet advertising company that provides coupons, ads and comparative shopping results directly on consumers' desktops. Mike had some time before work got busy to run a family Fantasy Football league (STUFF), and enjoys carrying Sarah around, winning at poker, bowling, and playing trombone in the Montclair Community Band.

Tim earned straight A's in 2005! Following an August 2006 graduation from FSU, Tim is planning on graduate school where he will focus on research in genetics and molecular biology. Offers of admission will come in April. Tim has applied to eight universities. Tim and Courtney Van Beck have set April 30, 2006 as their wedding day. Courtney uses her talents as a saleswoman for a Tallahassee company. She and Tim are busy tying up loose ends for the big day. They've registered at Macy's, Cutco, and cooking.com.

Betty/Elizabeth/Grandma continues cashiering at Publix as well as tutoring and substitute teaching. Handbell ringing for two churches is her main outlet, playing on the second and fourth Saturday for Ss. Peter and Paul, and occasionally for St. Joe's. It was fun to dress up as toy soldiers to ring at St. Armand's tree lighting, at St. Joe's Christmas program, and at an outdoor celebration in an East Bradenton development! 2005 was a year for travel: to PA for the baby shower, to NJ for visits with Sarah, to MD for Christmas, and to Buffalo for Mom's 80th birthday, for a Colton High School class reunion at which goddaughter Katie was honored, and for meeting niece Danielle's new puppy, Charmin! Betty also mourned the passing of her first cousin, Judy, her bellringing friend, Ann, and Pope John Paul II.

Dave/Grandpa continues to enjoy singing in the Adult Choir at Ss. Peter & Paul Church and in the Men's Choir at St. Joseph's. Work is going well; however, the "retirement" light at the end of that tunnel (December 2006) is getting brighter with each passing day!

Once again, Knight, our black lab/boxer, whose "black" fur is starting to turn gray around his face, is as sweet as ever. He enjoys long car rides - he loved the baby shower and the goats at White Chimney Farm - as well as short trips to the bank and the vet. He also liked having his "cousin," Keesha, visit in the fall.

HAPPY 2006 from all of us!
